Questions

How do I become a mobile phone distributor in India?

Brands appoint distributors area by area. They look at your capital, the shops you already supply, your field team, warehouse and track record. Fill in this application once; RetailerOS turns it into a profile and shares it with the brands you pick, so they can call you for a meeting.

How much capital does a distributorship need?

It depends on the brand and the territory. A sub-distributor in a few towns can start with tens of lakhs; a state distributor for a large brand usually needs crores, plus a bank limit, because stock and the credit you give shops tie up money. Tell us what you can put in and we match you to territories that fit.

What do ROK, ROTN and ROM mean?

They are sales-territory names brands use: ROK is Rest of Karnataka (outside Bengaluru), ROTN Rest of Tamil Nadu (outside Chennai), ROM Rest of Maharashtra (outside Mumbai and Pune). UPE and UPW are UP East and UP West, and MPCG is Madhya Pradesh with Chhattisgarh.

Does it cost anything to apply?

No. Applying is free, and RetailerOS never asks applicants for money. Brands appoint distributors directly; if anyone asks you to pay a "registration fee" to be appointed, do not pay.

Does applying guarantee an appointment?

No. The brand decides whom to meet and whom to appoint. RetailerOS passes your profile on and tells you if a brand wants to talk.

I have no company profile. Can I still apply?

Yes. Tick the box at the end and we make a profile for you from your answers. It is the same profile card you see before sending.

Who sees my application?

Only RetailerOS, and the brands and appointing companies for the brands you picked. It is never published on the website. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to legal@khoshasystems.com.
